Best MCP servers for Claude Code, plus the missing row

Full video transcript

Most lists of the best MCP servers for Claude Code put the same names near the top. We read five ranked lists. Between them they name about thirty different servers, and not one of them reads a screen recording. Most setups start with six. GitHub for code, Context7 for current docs, Playwright to drive a browser, Sentry for errors, Linear for tickets, and Figma for designs. Install the ones that match where your work lives, since each one costs context. Here is the gap. A teammate records thirty seconds of a bug, voice and cursor. Claude Code reads text and images, not video, so that recording stays closed. Three servers read a video today. Talkthrough MCP works on a local file, Jam adds console logs and network requests, and Vidmatic keeps the marks you drew. Circle the element while you talk, and the circle is kept as data with its time, so this button in the transcript lands on one button. So the table gains its missing row. The other six read your code, docs, errors and tickets. A video server adds what a person saw and said. Paired with GitHub, it closes a loop: your agent reads the recording, searches your repository on your machine, and files one grounded issue. Know the limits. It records in Chrome only, captures no console logs or network requests, and is not open source or self-hostable. To add the video row, one command connects it to Claude Code, and the quickstart takes you to a real recording. Keep the other six.
